TRACK LIST
Red Flag Jamajama is Yilila telling their own story in a DVD created by the band members. It was filmed in 2003 when the band was just beginning to gain exposure outside of Australia's remote Arnhem Land. This DVD is an intimate journey into a culture & lifestyle that is rarely seen.

"The story of Yilila's beginning & the past & future of Red Flag Culture. An intimate unseen story of Australia. This DVD was created and produced by the band, you wouldn't have seen anything like it before."

For more than 40,000 years the Aboriginal people from Arnhem Land have danced and sung songs. Around 500 years ago the Maccassan traders sailed from Indonesia to share trade and share culture. From this connection flag songs and dances were born. After thousands of years of development Aboriginal music and dance has ended here with its next step, Yilila.

Red Flag Jamajama is a rare insight into one of Australias most significant new bands. Yilila are the meeting point between ancient Aboriginal music and world music. Red Flag Jamajama is Yilila tell their own story while chilling out on their outstations in remote areas of Arnhem Land in Northern Australia.

This DVD takes you back to the bands beginning, with stories, traditional music, unbelievable dancing and songs.
